When putting together a room, I have always had mahogany wood or light wood - never white. That is going to change soon because just the thought (and the photographs that spread the Internet) of white interior makes me giddy! Over the past year, I have been seeing more and more photographs of all white rooms and it looks lovely! Of course, I would have to keep the room spic-and-span so that it will not become dirty, but the beauty of the room would be soooo worth it. All white rooms, bedrooms, bathrooms, dining rooms, kitchens, living rooms, and entertainment rooms--or not--, can be decorated so nicely. Do not let me get started on how many things you could use as the focal point of the room. Having such a bright, neutral color allows for more options in choosing the focal point and the color you want it to be.
My dream all-white room is a living room. I have the vision all planned out in my head; white, carpet floors; soft, comfy sofas; mint green and plum throw pillows; two framed maps above my couch; a fireplace on the front wall--in front of the sofas--, and big, white windows that allows tons of lights to stream into the room along with a vaulted ceiling. The focal point would probably be the chandelier that I'd have (possibly DIY).
