How's your Sunday going? It's going well for me. Not good, not great, but decent. And guess what I do whenever I am in a neutral state. Shop. Shop, shop, shop. In this case, I am not shopping, but coveting. There is something so calming to me when I scan sites, pick out things that I want, and buy it. Or not. Online window-shopping is pretty relaxing, too. So, to cope with boredom, I have decided to add an installment of things I want to this blog. Starting today, I will share with you some things that I have found. Want it, too? Find the link below the photo.

Today, my aunt and I were discussing bar stools that my uncle has. They are really nice, wide, and modern. I love bar stools because they are taller than normal chairs and they give added interest to a room. After my aunt and I finished talking, I began to look for well-priced bar stools online, and I'll share what I coveted below. What are you liking nowadays?

The lease is signed. We are officially going to be moving within a month, and I am so grateful and excited! This means my family and I can start putting our dreams into action by going furniture shopping and choosing color palettes.  This is so exciting! There are so many things that we can do. I think the first thing that we'll probably start doing is creating some Pinterest boards.

While we are doing that, I would like to share with you all some designs from Andrey Sokruta's portfolio.  These designs portray what a well-designed modern space looks like.

I love the neutral, earthy tones of this room along with the pops of orange, green and blue.  It is a pretty color scheme. I am crushing on this space pretty hard.

There is no way to express how much I love this sofa. It gives me life. My favorite thing about the sofa is how it is uniquely shaped.  Also, do you remember this post? My love of fireplaces has been reignited to the point of no extinction.

Red, green and neutral, earthy tones is something that I am seeing a lot of above. They not only complement each other really well, they also give the space a very fresh feeling. The focal walls are also making my heart swell from happiness. They look so pretty.

Planked walls and ceilings are quickly finding their way into people's homes. They are visually appealing and can be the finishing touch of any space. Paired with these planked walls is full-length floor-to-ceiling curtains, which helps break-up space nicely. That is a unique feature to this space - I have never seen curtains covering a wall with no window. But, it's working really well in this modernized space.

I am really loving the color yellow more-and-more nowadays. It may be because it is the perfect color for summer, or it may just be because it is pretty color all on its own. Nevertheless, I am truly finding it fascinating. I obviously am not the only one because it is showing up more as pops of color in home decor. In this space, it is paired with neutral and earthy tones.

To see the entire portfolio, go here and marvel at how amazing these spaces are. I, for one, am crushing hard on them. It's simple, modern beauty is something that everyone can take a lesson from - Andrey has honesty gone above and beyond what could have been.

Lighting is one of the most important parts of completing a space. It can give the room added decor while providing the must-needed light, or it can be very simple and just be there for the function. Either way, lighting  helps create a space. My preference for light fixtures is modern, contemporary, and eclectic pieces.  I  also prefer hanging lights instead of floor or wall lights (unless it is this type - which is above my bed at the moment). While browsing Houzz, Pinterest, and numerous other sites, I have come to favor some of the following light fixtures below.  They are not going to break the bank and they will be the perfect finisher piece of a room (and possibly even the focal point).

1. Lotus Flower Chandelier ($162.25) This chandelier brings the florals inside of the house and for a very reasonable price. Easy to fit in any room atmosphere, this is a lovely light fixture that I would not mind grabbing. Here is a similar one, but it is the most expensive option of the two ($329.00).

2. Indoor 4-Light Chrome/Crystal/Metal Bubble Shade Chandelier ($155.99) This piece of lighting is one that is doused with class and elegance. I am loving it because of the pattern on the shade and how juxtaposing that is with the dangling crystals.

3. Star Pendant Chandelier ($176.00) Of course this star has to be on my list of favorite lighting fixtures. It is not only pretty, but it also is being sold for a generous price. "My thoughts are stars that I cannot fathom into constellations," - The Fault in Our Stars | I had to add this because how could I not think about that movie upon seeing this star?

4. Long Hanging Capiz Pendant Lamp ($269.00) Although quite expensive, this chandelier is the epitome of chic and femininity.  Although this type of lighting has been featured in who knows how many spaces to date, I am still loving it!

5. Wine Bottle Chandelier ($399.00) I would more likely DIY this chandelier than pay the hefty fee for it considering that this would be such a fun project to make. Nevertheless, this wine bottle chandelier has given me inspiration, and I am loving the piece and whoever made it. It is one of few unique pieces of lighting I have ever seen.  If you enjoy eclectic pieces, I'd advise you to get your hands on this, or at least begin your DIY project.

6. Coral Chandelier (unknown price) Created by Moth Design, I have fallen in love with this chandelier.  It can bring life to a room with its  unique design - a total conversation starter.

7. Crashing Wave Swarovski Crystal Chandelier ($6,800-8,800) My love for the ocean runs deeply, so there was no doubt in my mind when I saw this piece that I'd want to have it. But then I saw the price. Nevertheless, it is a ridiculously gorgeous piece! This chandelier was designed by Water Pressure Lighting by Dwellings LTD. It is a part of their modern water-inspired collection.

What light fixtures have you been crushing on lately? I'm creating a Pinterest board with my favorite light fixtures, and I'd love to see your ideas.

Nothing is better than a ton of storage. Being able to pack away a lot of stuff is perfect, especially if I can put it inside of conspicuous storage. The only thing better than regular storage is visually appealing storage. With that, I do not have to bother trying to hide it. Anything that can have two uses (not being an eyesore + whatever the technical use for it is), then please get me one asap.

This wine storage is a great modern piece. It is such a simple storage unit (that can hold up to 10 bottles of wine!), but the intricate design makes it one of a kind. Instead of shoving it in the cabinets (as many do), showcase your collection in a fun way. (TIP: A fun way to personalize this unit would be to paint it a variety of colors.)

Steps and ladders, anyone? This pretty rustic five-shelf storage is one that I would love to have.  It is made from pine wood and can easily fit anywhere. So many things could be set on this baby, and I am sure it'd be one of the best storage units that anyone could have. I especially enjoy the tilting of the unit, which could have easily become an ignored detail.

Vintage and rustic pieces are my favorite storage units.  This three-piece trunk set is an example of why.  It comes in small, medium, and large, allowing for tons to be stored. An easy fit for anywhere that needs storage,  I can picture anything from jewelry to blankets resting inside of the cases. It resembles a lock-and-key box, but with the convenience of no lock or key.

Wicker baskets are the most common storage units that I have in my home. This pine wood dresser can hold as much as you wish with its four wicker baskets. This storage could be put fit into any theme of decor: eclectic, rustic, modern, contemporary, etc. It's so versatile. So, I think that I might as well proclaim my dying want, need, and love for this thing.

More wine, anyone? It's rustic. It's vintage. It's perfect.  With five geometric holes for your wine bottles of choice, this is a great storage cabinet for either your kitchen, dining room, or basement. This is the type of storage that can be kept for years and years and years. If you were to ever tire of looking at the same piece, you could easily paint and DIY it to your heart's desires. And anything that can be DIYed is a piece worth grabbing.

Do you hear that? That is my heart beating erratically from falling in love with this piece of wooden storage and lattice panels. The mixture of contemporary and rustic makes this piece a one of a kind. Plus, imagine the way this can be DIYed. Like I said above, anything that can be DIYed is a piece worth snatching up.

Over the past year, my curiosity and love for Italy has been at its peak. That is the one country that I would love to visit and move to after I graduate university. The reason for that is because I want to try and learn about the food, the culture, the language, and the amazing sights that have yet to be discovered. I am really infatuated with Italia! "I am in love with cities I've never been to and people I've never met."

This morning, my e-mail was graced with amazing photographs of an apartment in Lucca, Italy that was designed by Studiovo. If there is one thing to see and fall in love with in the early afternoon on Saturday, it is this apartment's contemporary decor. It is these types of places that inspire me to one day become a great Interior Designer. The black and white walls, accent walls, and high vaulted, angled ceilings all gives this apartment a dramatic feeling. What's better than that?

The accent wood walls are the focal point of this room. I really enjoy how the wall is uneven. It creates an interesting point-of-view, depending on where you are within the room. With white and glass interior (and stray pops of red), I'd say this room is very sleek + contemporary + open.

This apartment houses two dining areas - one can be viewed behind the accent walls and the other is just off of the living room. An all-white dining area is a must, as it gives off a sleek, contemporary look. Simple and fresh are two adjectives that I think off when I consider that space. The other dining area can seat four people, and the chairs are just my favorite.

The ceiling of the living room is high vaulted and angled. My favorite part of to this room is the circular, wide light on the ceiling. The room is spacious, and it looks even more so because of the light reflecting around the room. Oh, and the hand chair is the perfect furniture to help make the space look lived in without being too casual.

Flair is what a simple room needs, whether it's a piece of art, lighting, or just signature touches that appear throughout a space.  This white and black contemporary apartment's living room just happens to have a modern backlit sculpture to take on the job of flair. It adds life and color to the otherwise neutral space.

Geometric shapes take a unique turn in this kitchen. The arched window is an example of that. The cabinets are also examples of interesting aspects of this kitchen, as the usual handles are replaced by off-center slots.

Built-ins are quickly become favorites of mine. They add function to rooms while saving space. The built-in desk adds a mini-office to this contemporary bedroom without being a crowded area. Also! I cannot help but mention the geometric shapes that are throughout this space. I love how the triangular angle of the bed's headboard and mirror echo one another, and the circular light hovers above, creating a nice juxtaposition.

The master powder room is full of neutral shades with splashes of red only being the accessories. Once again the angled ceilings are intriguing in this powder room. I am also loving on the lighted mirror above the sink.
