Beached Themed Room--no beach?

Beaches have always entranced me.  Beach Houses have always been a destination of my dreams. But as soon as I wake up from that lovely dream, reality that I reside in Detroit, Michigan sets in (planning for a move at the moment). At that moment that reality sets it, my emotions go crazy - upset, sad, annoyed, sad. It is like a PMS, but only because I cannot have a Beach House...near the beach. Of course, my brilliant mind whips out an amazing thought that made my crazy emotions stop: a beach themed room.  So, I am currently looking forward to creating that dream beach room without being...y'know...near a beach. I can see it all: planks on the wall, tons of stripes and anchors, nautical decor, navy blue and white being the two main colors with pops of green, yellow, and orange. I want it all. Along with my Pinterest mood board, Wake Up Frankie (one of my favorite decor stores) provides some inspiration (and tips!) on how to get a lovely beach themed bedroom. Their list is beyond inspirational, and I can already pair it with the tons of thoughts running through my mind as of...eh, a two weeks ago.
